What is Sinus Shield?▾
Sinus Shield is a free tool that helps you manage allergic rhinitis (hay fever). It checks pollen levels, wind speed, and air quality for your location every day and assigns a risk tier: GREEN (low risk), YELLOW (moderate), or RED (high). You define your own medication protocol for each tier — the system reminds you what to do, but never suggests or prescribes medications.
How does it know what medication I need?▾
You set up your own medication protocol during onboarding — the system doesn't prescribe medications. It tells you which tier you're in based on environmental conditions, and shows the instructions you've entered for that tier. Your doctor or pharmacist can help you decide what goes in each tier.
Is it free?▾
Yes, Sinus Shield is currently free to use. No ads, no data selling.
What data do you collect?▾
Your email (for login and notifications), your approximate location (rounded to ~10km), your medication protocol, and daily symptom feedback. We don't track you, sell your data, or share it with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Do I need to install an app?▾
No — Sinus Shield works entirely in your browser and via email. You receive daily morning and evening emails with your protocol and forecast. You can also check the dashboard anytime.
How does the adaptive learning work?▾
When you report feeling bad, the system increases its sensitivity to the pollen types that were active that day. This means it will assign a higher tier earlier next time. Over time, if you report feeling great consistently, sensitivity decays back to normal. The logic is fully deterministic and rule-based — no AI, no black box. Every decision is predictable and transparent.
